Favorite Places
I have been around the World a few times and traveled quite a lot in Europe, Asia, and Central America, but I have still not seen Alaska and I hope to mark that one off my list someday. The few spots in the USA that don’t make my favorites list are New York, Los Angeles, and most other large American cities, as they have deteriorated in recent decades. We don’t even drive the short distance to San Francisco any longer since it has declined so terribly.
There are several places in the Middle East, like Esfahan and parts of what is now Iraq, that I would like to see but I cannot help worrying about security around those places.
I have never had a strong desire to go to Africa, with the exception of the Pyramids of Egypt and I must admit that my two favorite places on Earth are still Patchen and Fishers Lake.
