Delayed Site Approval
In April 2022, I backed a proposal to move an unpermitted Park-Model mobile home to my property without County Building Site Approval. I did so with the following assumptions.
- At that time, I was well into the Building Site Approval process, having completed
- Preliminary house design
- Geotechnical Evaluation
- Preliminary pert testing for septic
- Topographical survey
- etc
- Prior experience dealing with the county on a similar matter was successful.
- January 2013 – Moved Park-Model to Property
- June 26, 20213 – County Inspection
- July 5, 2013 – Violation Letter
- July 26, 2013 – Appeal
- December 26, 2013 – Resolved
It was finally removed almost a year after moving it into place without permits.
- Under normal circumstances, a year is (was) adequate time to secure Building Site Approval.
- Site approval is not completed after more than triple the time normally required, resulting in a Code Violation.
